Taman Botani Shah Alam 30km LSD

8 Aug 2018: We (Intan and myself) decided to take a day off the busy weekday and do our Long Slow Distance run in Raman Botani Shah Alam.

This quiet area offers safe, almost zero traffic, paved hilly roads for runners and bikers. The roads are 80% hilly, offering runners the opportunity to do slopes training.

We started at about 9am and geared in our water bag, cap and running shoes, started running towards the left route into Cactus Valley and the Orchard. From entrance to the very end is about 4km, returning to the junction towards Bukit Sapu Tangan, which joins down to the other main road.

This map shows our run. My altitude gain and loss was not recorded.

I was targeting for 50km but this hilly route was too much of a challenge. To complete my 30km run, I did add on some mileage at the nearby Shah Alam Lake. Another nice place for running, which I will blog about another time.
